5 CENT PACE “FANCY FRONT” COMET SLOT MACHINE. Pace produced several versions of the Comet. This particular example is from the 1930s and has elaborate fanciful aluminum front castings, which are often highlighted by bright colors. A goose neck style mechanism, Pace created a rotary disc similar to a Watling Rol-a-Top, which allowed the player and operator to view the last several coins played.
